Description:

The Manager of Global Learning Systemsprovides technical leadership in support of Hyatt’s  Global LearningManagement system, Saba Cloud. Responsible for the design, development,implementation and quality assurance of eLearning technology consistent withindustry best practices and Hyatt’s organizational objectives, in order toprovide employees a positive user experience in the  learning environment.Solution partner to business process owner; providing consultative guidancewith respect to technology possibilities and limitations as well as identifyingopportunities for process and quality improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with HR Business Partner on learning design and strategy; provides consultative guidance to recommend optimal solutions
  • Ensures system availability standards, service and quality expectations are met
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements
  • Point of escalation for issue resolution relating to system functionality and integrated systems
  • Writes and maintains technical procedures and policy documentation
  • Manages relationship with third party vendors
  • Directs and trains Global Learning Analyst to apply learning technologies in the development and delivery of technology solutions
  • Develops and monitors appropriate roles, securities, and permissions associated with Learning System access
  • Analyzes new functionality and facilitates testing for ongoing system upgrades; communicates system configuration changes to Business Partner and user community
  • Manages projects related to LMS utilizing an agile, iterative approach

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of HRIS experience preferably in a Global organization
  • Minimum 2 years of experience withs LMS technology, Saba Cloud a plus
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred 

Education

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent business related experience required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • HRIP or any LMS Certification a plus

Computer Skills Needed to Perform thisJob

  • Microsoft Office proficiency required
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Experience with a case tracking system such as ServiceNow a plus

  • Technical skills including troubleshooting, and understanding of directory, file structures, and systems; judgment to know when to elevate issues
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as with vendors
  • Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality, multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, problem solving, and ability to work well under pressure in a self-directed capacity
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in layman’s terms
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter who learns quickly, is self-confident and able to shift focus in the presence of emerging initiatives
