Description:

Location: Remote (preferred that candidate resides in the Hampton Roads, VA area or willing to relocate)

Work Environment: Extensive travel required (50-75% or 2-3 weeks of every month) & occasional weekends, holidays, after business hours etc.


As the Medical Market Manager, you will be responsible for:

This position will oversee the core business functions below. Specific execution will be carried out by Category Managers, Product & Applications Specialists, Supplier Account Representatives, and Program Sales Personnel. Market Managers may assume a "player-coach" role on any of these business functions depending upon the size and scope of the Market, and customer and organizational needs.

  • Category Management
  • Supplier Business Development
  • Supplier Management
  • Product Business Development
  • Program Sales, including Inside Sales directly tied to Programs margin goal
  • Program Business Development
  • Contract Development & Capture
  • Unit Level Sales Support indirectly tied to Units margin goal
  • Development and Management of Market team members


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of business development experience with a track record of capture and program management within the Medical Market
  • 5+ years of experience with US Government contracting and acquisition
  • 3+ years of experience using Salesforce, Oracle, Sales Portal, Tableau and Business Analytics software
  • Broad, exceptional understanding of Medical customers, operations, and requirements coupled with a of key industry supplier relationships
  • Extensive defense business development experience with a track record of capture and program management within the Weapons & Optics Market
  • Strong understanding of ADS Contract Vehicles
  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to easily communicate complex ideas, issues and designs to a diverse audienceā€¢ Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; equivalent experience at ADS or military may be acceptable upon hiring managers discretion
  • Prior experience in management or leadership role is preferred
